A little while ago I made this sweet vintage bonnet for Arabella- I think she looks like a little prairie girl!
I thought it would be lovely to get some photos of her next to the flowering chives, but the first thing she did was grab a flower and take a huge bite!
She was NOT impressed with the taste, she made all sorts of hilarious faces and did her best to spit everything out. I had a nice chuckle while trying to help her out ;o)

I was Christened in the Catholic church as a baby. I don't agree with that practice but my mom did a neat thing. I had a bonnet that looked like Arabella's and I wore it for that occasion. It was made in such a way that with clipping a few stitches it became a hankie to be carried as my something old on my wedding day.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few patterns like that too- so sweet.
